My sister friend (Ngozi) and I decided to have a brunch date the other day, after going back and forth on where to eat, we finally decided to try out BLD. We were assigned a table soon as we walked in and handed the menus. After what seemed like a decade of trying to figure out what we’d have, we decided to try out their brunch buffet. You pay a total of four thousand naira (4,000) to have anything available in the buffet plus a bottle of water or a glass of mimosa and you’d pay extra for anything else you want to have on top of that!
We both decided to start off with salads, Ngozi had the creamy potato and pasta salad and two little bit sized bread buns while I decided to make my salad. I mixed some salad leaves with tomatoes, cucumbers, pasta and cream and also had bread buns because I’m literally obsessed with freshly baked bread. It went down so well!
For the main course, I opted for spaghetti bolognese, ham, dodo and shrimp sauce. Ngozi had rice and peas, dodo, grilled sausages, eggs, baked potatoes and some shrimp sauce. We totally enjoyed the main course and it was washed down nicely with our glasses of mimosa. For our deserts, we were served two pieces of cake. ….which to be honest we didn’t like cause it looked old and really didn’t taste that good! I think Ngozi would agree with me that meeting Ice Prince at BLD made a much better desert! *wink*
Overall, customer service was excellent, ambience was fantastic, the environment was spick and span and the food was alright. Ngozi and I decided to rate BLD a 3 out of 5 stars just cause there wasn’t a wide variety of food and the desert was really not nice.
You can check them out at 15 Admiralty Way, Lekki Phase I, Beside KFC.
I’m always on the hunt for new restaurants to try out! If you have any recommendations, do leave a comment down below. X!
